The Association of Chief Children’s Nurses is a group of senior nurses from across the UK. Our functions are to:

(a) Provide a forum to inform, influence, and shape the child health agenda.

(b) Communicate proactively with key stakeholders to influence planning and decision making around children's and young people's health services.

(c) Develop and share ideas and good practice through social media and meetings.

(d) Champion the participation and engagement of children, young people, families and carers in the design and delivery of health care systems.

(e) Initiate discussions to influence and advocate for children's nursing, standards of care, and ensuring their continuing enhancement.

(f) Promote the nursing contribution to research related to children and young people.

(g) Influence and shape the education of the children's nursing workforce.
